“Become A Confident, Effective Leader”
On Thursday, April 27th, Keri and I spoke to over 50 women from the Scotiabank Women Initiative: about how to“Become A More Confident, Effective Leader.” Whether you are a leader, manager, or business owner, who doesn’t want to be more confident and effective in your current role? I know I do.
We packed a ton of information into our 90-minute webinar, including building trust and effective communication. We also explored the roles we play as leaders.
What an amazing group of women! They were engaged in the presentation, asked questions and actively participated throughout our time together. It was a great learning and sharing session.
In late October, I had the pleasure of meeting Renee Vetra, District Vice President of Prairie Region, Edmonton North at Girls On Fire, an event the Scotiabank Women Initiative was attending as one of the sponsors.
As Keri and I were setting up our business I reached out to Renee to find out more about the Scotiabank Women Initiative. After speaking with Renee, Keri and I knew we wanted to be a part of this community because,like Scotiabank, we support women and help create a positive impact on their lives. Renee made the introductions for us to the Scotiabank within our communities (shout out to Bob Morgan at Sherwood Park Business Center). Shortly after, Renee asked us to offer a webinar to theScotiabank Women Initiative community.
As owners of LumiLead Inc., a company created by women for women, we jumped at the opportunity to design and deliver a virtual presentation for these amazing women.
